Significance and Measures of Improving Flotation Speed

Flotation speed refers to reach a certain recovery (or flotation machine unit production capacity), the flotation time required. Improve the flotation recovery rate and shorten the time is improve the speed of flotation. The main measures of improving flotation speed are:
     1) Reasonable adjustment prescription, special should pay attention to the amount of blowing agent. Generally speaking,
increase a little blowing agent will promote the flotation rate. But must pay attention to: excessive foaming agent will reduce the selectivity. So, in the selection and large collecting doses, should pay attention to the dosage of foaming agent don't too much.
     2) In the appropriate range, increase flotator impeller speed, reduce the trough depth, narrow the gap between the impeller and cover plate to increae inflating volume, can promote flotation speed.
     3) To make pulp by flotation cell as soon as possible. Series tank is fast than parallel groove also can improve the speed of flotation.
     4) The size of the selected tank must be appropriate. In general, the size of selected tank not too big, select  trough is too big, make pulp stay too long in the groove.  Not only can make the foam dilution, but also reduce the flotation speed.
     5) Control appropriate pulp density, can obtain the biggest flotation speed.
