Beneficiation methods commonly used

1 . The gravity  separation
this
 method is based on the relative mineral density ( usually called specific gravity ) of the difference to sorting minerals. Different density mineral particles in motion by the medium ( water, air and heavy liquid ) and the effects of various mechanical hydrodynamic forces , resulting in a loose stratification and separation of appropriate conditions so that different density mineral particles to be separated .

2 flotation separation
Flotation aeparation method is based on the difference between physical and chemical properties of mineral surfaces by flotation reagent processing, the useful minerals selectively attached to the bubbles reach the sorting purposes. Non-ferrous metal ores , such as copper, lead, zinc, sulfur , molybdenum and other miners to use flotation processing ; certain ferrous metals, precious metals and a number of non-metallic minerals , such as graphite ore, apatite , also with flotation Law sorting .

3 . Magnetic separation
Depending on the magnetic separation of magnetic minerals , minerals subject to different type of magnetic field force in the magnetic separator , whereby the sorting . It is mainly used for sorting ferrous metal ores ( iron, manganese , chromium ) ; also used for non-ferrous and rare metals ore sorting .

4 Electrostatic separation
Electrostatic separation method is based on the difference between sorting mineral conductivity. When minerals by high-voltage electric field sorting machine , due to the different conductivity of minerals , the role is different to the electrostatic force on the mineral , which can be separated minerals . Electrostatic separation method for rare metals, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic ore sorting . Now mainly used for mixing and separation of the crude concentrate selection ; such as the separation of scheelite and cassiterite ; selection , selection of tantalum and niobium ore zircon and so on.
